As install season picks up, Torque's Jaime Bugge hit the road to support four facilities across the country. From working alongside install teams to walking each completed space, the goal was simple: make sure every facility was ready to deliver from day one.

Even when facilities share the same brand, their spaces rarely look the same. For Jaime, that means the solution shouldn't be cookie cutter either. The common goal across these installs was adding more functionality and variety to the turf space while making the most of the available footprint.
Showing Up Matters.
Floor plans can tell you a lot. Walking the facility tells you more.
Being on-site allows Jaime to experience the club from both the member and operator perspective, identify potential opportunities, support the install team in real time and make sure the finished system matches the original design.

For Jaime, functional training should go beyond storage and suspension training. The opportunity is creating a space with more ways for members to train and more tools for trainers to use.

Designing the Member Journey
A workout might move from free weights to selectorized equipment, into turf work and finish with cardio. Jaime talked about how each area needs to transition naturally into the next.
That means looking at everything from traffic choke points and equipment selection to storage, available training space and visual cohesion to create a better overall member experience.

One trend Jaime continues to see? There are never enough cables. Integrating cable training directly into rigs has become an important part of creating more versatile functional spaces without sacrificing valuable floor space.
