Customer Service Technician

Torque Fitness is an innovative and growing manufacturer of high-end performance training equipment. Torque Fitness is looking for a highly motivated individual that is passionate about fitness to take on the position of Customer Service Technician. Role Description:

The Customer Service Technician reports to the Customer Service Manager and is critical to Torque Fitness. This role has daily contact with customers, focused on resolving issues and orders. The Customer Service Technician is responsible for receiving and responding to customer technical questions (via multiple platforms of communication), processing service warranty/spare parts orders, and supporting direct customers (dealers, 3rd party service providers and retail customers).

 

Specific Role Responsibilities:

    ·      Serve as primary point of contact and advocate for escalated customer service, parts orders, and warranty orders.

    ·      Provide customer feedback to Customer Service Manager/Account Manager.

    ·      Maintain service orders in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system—enter and acknowledge new service orders. Process and communicate order changes.

    ·      Determine in-warranty and out of warranty situations. Escalations are to be reported to Customer Service Manager to ensure desired service levels.

    ·      Maintain updated and accurate service records in ERP.

    ·      Work closely with Supply Chain Manager, Product Development, and Sales to maintain knowledge base of materials and delivery issues. Relay/communicate to customer as needed.

    ·      Organize/maintain service parts area. Communicate stock needs to Customer Service Manager.

    ·      All other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

    ·      Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    ·      Minimum of 1 year or more of customer service or sales experience

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

    ·      Ability to work with a variety of conversion and measurement types – (i.e., metric to imperial, length, weight.)

    ·      Strong analytical skills combined with mechanical aptitude.

    ·      Strong knowledge with Microsoft office and ERP systems (NetSuite).

    ·      Strong interpersonal skills are required as this position involves extensive personal contact and fostering relationships with others.

    ·      Must be a self-motivated individual.  

    ·      Structured thought process takes a logical approach to analyzing problems, developing solutions, and organizing work.

    ·      Passion and understanding for the fitness industry (preferred).

    ·      Experience or an understanding of supply chain/operations (preferred)

    ·      Experience with hand and power tools (preferred).

    ·      Conceptual thinker: identifies the key aspects of complex situations and understand the “big picture”.

    ·      Information Seeker: continually scans the environment for new information, strategy, and improvement.

    ·      Team player.

Physical and Environment:

    ·      Standing or sitting for long periods of time.

    ·      Frequent bending and lifting (up to 100lbs).

    ·      Climbing ladders / stairs to retrieve parts.

    ·      This role is an in-office position.

    ·      Occasional travel may be required.

Email Marketing Specialist

Role Description:

As a member of the marketing team at Torque Fitness, the Email Marketing Specialist will play a key role in driving engagement, nurturing leads, and enhancing customer relationships through effective email communication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting, designing, and managing impactful email marketing campaigns for both B2B and B2C audiences. This role involves a deep understanding of email marketing best practices, segmentation strategies, workflow automations, and a commitment to delivering measurable results.

 

Specific Role Responsibilities:

·   Develop and execute end-to-end email and SMS marketing campaigns for B2B and B2C audiences

·   Design and implement automated email workflows to nurture leads, onboard customers, and enhance overall customer experience

·   Monitor and optimize workflow automations to improve efficiency and effectiveness

·   Build and maintain segmented contact lists based on various criteria, ensuring relevance, and targeting accuracy

·   Implement data-driven strategies to grow and optimize the email subscriber base

·   Craft compelling and personalized content that aligns with target audience preferences and business objectives

·   Utilize segmentation strategies to tailor messages for specific customer segments

·   Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all email communications

·   Track and analyze key email marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

·   Generate regular reports on campaign performance, A/B testing results, and audience engagement

·   Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and responsive email templates

·   Stay updated on email marketing regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards

·   Implement best practices for deliverability, open rates, and click-through rates

·   Support various strategic programs via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle including prospecting, win-back, nurturing, post-purchase, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional emails

·   Perform render testing across devices, email clients, and ISPs to ensure emails are rendering correctly for many subscribers

·   Regularly identify trends and email marketing strategies from other leading global brands to glean insights on best practices and new innovative ideas for email marketing tactics, including audits of how to acquire, nurture, and retain customers

 

Candidate Background Requirements:

·   Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field

·   Proven experience in designing and executing successful B2B and B2C email marketing campaigns

·   Proficient in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Klayvio, HubSpot, or similar tools)

·   Proven work experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of a large email marketing database

·   Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and workflow automation.

·   Creative background in Graphic Design preferred

·   Familiar with HTML/CSS for email template customization

·   1-3 years of email marketing experience

·   Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

·   Ability to own projects, demonstrate good judgment when working with team members, and take initiative with little supervision

·   Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands

·   Create impactful and persuasive marketing emails that drive customer engagement and conversions

·   Understand email best practices (list nutrition, inbox deliverability, subject line optimization, A/B testing, audience segmentation, etc.)

·     Passion for the fitness industry

·   Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

·   Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team

·   Excellent presentation and communications skills

 

This position will be based in our Coon Rapids, MN office.

Hybrid Work Schedule: Four days on-site, one day remote (Wednesday)
Hours per week: Fulltime (Monday-Friday)
Type of Pay: Salary
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 (based on experience)
PTO: 3 weeks (15 Days) PTO yearly with 40 hr. rollover
